The Nomadic team is very thankful for the opportunity to conduct business in Washington DC and remains committed to giving back to the community. Each year we will identify two specific and local causes and coordinate fundraisers to make an impact in the most significant manner we can. The Nomadic team will manage the entire fundraising campaign, donate company funds and also volunteer time and additional resources to promote these incredible clauses.
Nomadic Real Estate- Race for Hope
In May of 2017, the Nomadic Real Estate team stretched out, hydrated their bodies, and laced up their running shoes! Race for Hope-DC is a 5k in our Nation’s Capital. The 5k aims to inspire and join forces in the fight against brain cancer. Numerous DC local businesses and individuals competed. Proceeds were donated to the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. The DC community raised 27 million dollars for the Society throughout the 5k’s history. This year raised 1.9 million dollars alone.
Cancer directly and indirectly affects millions of people around the world including our own Nomadic family. The idea to participate stemmed from our Leasing Associate Jay’s friend. Suffering from a life-altering brain tumor, he was able to defeat his cancer. Following his fight, he committed to living each day to the fullest. With that inspiration, Nomadic took to the course.
Nomadic’s office consists of rock climbers, marathoners, former collegiate athletes, a rugby player, and our resident bachelor who enjoys long walks on the beach, just to name a few. With a wealth of athletic ability, the Nomadic team’s competitive juices were running high. Our office champion was none other than Jenna Rieling, our marathoner and Leasing Manager. Jenna placed 4th overall in the women’s division for the entire 5k! Overall, we had a fantastic time and will continue to contribute back to our community.
