Neighborhood Description
Friendship Heights is one of DC's most distinguished neighborhoods. While some include it as a neighborhood within the larger Chevy Chase description, Friendship Heights has come to represent a thing of its one. Since its metro inception in 1984 bearing its same name, the community has fast become DC's premier shopping and fashion district, rivaled only by M Street of Georgetown. Dining and entertainment have followed suit and help create an exclusive atmosphere. Home prices and ownership rates are among the highest in the city, partially due to the suburban atmosphere and tranquility without sacrificing the city convenience. Located directly on the red line, bordering some of the wealthiest parts of Montgomery County, Maryland, Friendship Heights is truly in a class of its own.
