We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to be our Human Resources Department of One.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all HR needs for our small business
  • Provide tools and guidance for HR problems
  • Responsible for FMLA and Covid-19 resources and compliance
  • Conduct HR audits
  • Design employee benefits and total compensation
  • Manage best practices for hiring and training
  • Interview and evaluate job candidates
  • Comply with federal, state, and DC labor laws
  • Maintain and update employee handbook
  • Implementing best HR practices
  • Succession planning and Performance Reviews
  • Learn and teach the intricacies of the culture and values of Nomadic
  • Other related duties

Requirements

  • SHRM/PHR Certified
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws and their application to a company of under 50 employees in DC.
  • Hiring and Training Experience
  • Negotiation Experience
  • Objectivity
  • Values hard work, communication, and accountability
