We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to be our Human Resources Department of One.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all HR needs for our small business
- Provide tools and guidance for HR problems
- Responsible for FMLA and Covid-19 resources and compliance
- Conduct HR audits
- Design employee benefits and total compensation
- Manage best practices for hiring and training
- Interview and evaluate job candidates
- Comply with federal, state, and DC labor laws
- Maintain and update employee handbook
- Implementing best HR practices
- Succession planning and Performance Reviews
- Learn and teach the intricacies of the culture and values of Nomadic
- Other related duties
Requirements
- SHRM/PHR Certified
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws and their application to a company of under 50 employees in DC.
- Hiring and Training Experience
- Negotiation Experience
- Objectivity
- Values hard work, communication, and accountability
