Clyde’s Tower Oaks Lodge

Clyde’s is a part of a long-standing local chain that enjoys an off-the-beaten-path location at 2 Preserve Parkway on the south end of Rockville. The restaurant is known for its classic American dishes, including steak, burgers, chicken, and seafood, and it also features an impressive cocktail menu. The decor at Clyde’s Tower Oaks Lodge will make you feel like you’ve stepped back into the Old West, ensuring each visit is memorable.

MoCo’s Founding Farmers

One of the more unique dining options in Rockville is MoCo’s Founding Farmers, a farm-to-table restaurant owned by a cooperative of American growers. The chefs at Founding Farmers make pretty much everything from scratch, including the bread, pasta, ice cream, and spirits for cocktails, and most ingredients come from American family farms. This restaurant sits on the south end of Rockville at 12505 Park Potomac Ave., just off the Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway.

Bob’s Shanghai 66

There are plenty of Chinese restaurants in Rockville, but Bob’s Shanghai 66 is perhaps the most popular. This establishment doesn’t look like much from the outside, as it sits in a strip mall at 305 N Washington St., just off the Rockville Pike, but the food is outstanding. Some of the most sought-after menu items at Bob’s Shanghai 66 include their dim sum, flounder fillets, noodle soups, and pork belly.

Matchbox

Congressional Plaza on the Rockville Pike is home to Matchbox, a new American restaurant featuring gourmet brick-oven pizzas, all-day brunch, burgers, and an impressive specialty cocktail list. There’s also a popular patio at Matchbox, and the venue has a decent selection of beers and wines. Matchbox is a local chain with locations throughout the D.C. area, but the reclaimed wood walls from a historic barn make the Rockville restaurant unique.

Silver Diner

Silver Diner is a regional chain with locations throughout Virginia and Maryland, including their Rockville restaurant at 12276 Rockville Pike. Locals love Silver Diner because it takes the appearance of a classic American diner from the 1950s or ’60s, right down to the period decor and on-site jukebox. The menu at Silver Diner is also worth a look, as it includes classic American fare like burgers and fries but also incorporates a solid selection of plant-based items and a kids menu.

Mykonos Grill

Mykonos Grill is a staple in Rockville that’s part of Congressional North Plaza near the Rockville Pike. Entering Mykonos Grill makes it feel like you’ve traveled to Greece, as the interior features tavern-like decor and the patio is what you’d expect on the sidewalks of Athens. Locals also appreciate the quality of the cuisine at Mykonos Grill, as it has perhaps the city’s most authentic Greek menu, including items like souvlaki, lamb shank, seafood, and spanakopita.

Botanero Restaurant

Botanero Restaurant is known for its globally inspired menu, featuring items like Cuban sandwiches, Caesar salad, traditional Spanish paella dinners, and hamburgers. There’s a little bit of everything at Botanero, and its laid-back, easy-going atmosphere makes it easy to enjoy your meal in peace without feeling rushed. Botanero is located at the King Farm Village Center on the north end of Rockville, a few blocks from King Farm Park.

They like to keep things simple at Giuseppi’s Pizza Plus. This classic family-run pizza parlor near Rockville Town Square is a counter-service establishment with a small dining room and a patio overlooking E Montgomery Avenue. The food will keep you coming back, as they create authentic New York-style pizza and also have a selection of pasta dishes, subs, calzones, and chicken wings from which to choose. Understanding the Ledger

Your portal includes a ledger with all transactions. The ledger is populated with data in real-time as transactions flow through our accounting software. Much of this information is also available in the Reports area, as well as the Statements in your Documents library, but the ledger is the most comprehensive resource for diving into the details.

Please scroll through the sections below to get a better understanding of how to interpret the ledger.

By default, transactions are sorted chronologically:

Owner Ledger Dates
  • The date reflected in the lefthand column is the actual transaction date, not the “bill date”. This is the date the transaction was actually processed.

If you have multiple properties with Nomadic, you'll see the address for each transaction in the "Location" column:

Ledger Property Column
  • You can filter the ledger to look at just one property, all properties, or specific sets of properties.
  • If you only have one property with us, you’ll just see the ledger for that property.

The Description column displays the transaction type:

Owner Ledger Description Column
  • BILL: this is an expense transaction, such as for repair costs or management fees.
  • CHARGE: this is a transaction  billed to the tenant, most typically a rent payment.
  • NACHA EXPORT: this is a credit we processed to your distribution account. This type of transaction is how you get paid!

The Amount column shows the dollar value of each transaction:

Owner Ledger Amount Column
  • Positive Amounts: if an amount is positive, it reflects a transaction that is payable to you. Typically, this will be a rent payment that we collected from your tenants. On occasion, a positive number could also signify a journal entry or credit adjustment.
  • Negative Amounts:  if an amount is negative, this is a transaction that is either payable to Nomadic or is an amount that has already been paid to you. Typically this will be for repair costs or management/leasing fees. Owner draws (net distributions into your checking/savings account) also reflect as negative amounts, since they have already been paid to you.

The Account Balance column shows a sum of positive/negative transactions at a given point in time:

Owner Ledger Account Balance Column
  • Account Balance should always equal zero after a net distribution has been processed. When the balance is zero, this means that all expenses have been paid and you’ve received the remainder as net operating income, leaving a balance of zero (meaning: no one is due any money, as all funds have been distributed appropriately).

How do net distributions work?

Net distributions keep your accounting clean and simple. Each month we’ll collect rent from the tenants, deduct any repair expenses for the previous month and any management/leasing fees for the current month, and credit the remaining net operating income to your account.

Net Distribution

You’ll receive a statement via email each time a net distribution is processed, and can view all transaction details in your Propertyware owner portal.
